I enjoyed your comment as it is very true, and many people never break out of their habits because it's not easy and revert to fixating on only "pricetag" to try to be happy. Quite a sad thing to watch.

Yes, when I talk to people who are unhappy or have problems, they usually look for quick fixes or 'feel-good' fixes that serve to put a band-aid on the situation, rather than looking for a permanent fix.

So I ask them the tough questions - are you happy? What makes you happy? What should you do. And it's usually a very tiring, emotional process. Oftentimes, they slip into denial and go back to their old habits where they look for quick fixes by buying things or escapism.

American society is transfixed with having a price tag on everything, including success and happiness. But in reality, not everything can be measured in terms of material and financial metrics.
